Job Summary
Serves as Supervisory Traffic Management Specialist with responsibility for executing designated traffic management assignments involving all modes of transportation, rail, truck, air, and water CONUS and overseas.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Work is reviewed during progress and upon completion regarding methods, results, and goal attainment.
TRAINING REQUIREMENT :
Within 24 months of hire, the associate must receive supply chain certification in a program approved by the Director of transportation.
Requires a total of 3 - 6 years of experience as indicated below :
GENERAL EXPERIENCE : 3 years of experience in administrative, professional, analytical or other responsible work related to traffic or transportation or other responsible work related to traffic or transportation programs or operations;
and skill in dealing with others in person-to-person work relationships.
may be substituted for 9 months of experience, up to a maximum of a 4 year bachelor's degree for 3 years of general experience.
Or, hold Certification in Transportation & Logistics (CTL) by the American Society of Transportation & Logistics (AST&L).
or similar work which demonstrated the knowledge and abilities of traffic management to perform with a minimum of supervision.
